Tucked into the lush landscapes of central Côte d’Ivoire, just 8 kilometers southwest of the town of Bongouanou, lies a quiet 1 km² mining license that holds stories beneath the surface—stories shaped by earth, by time, and by human effort. This is the setting of the Bongouanou Gold Exploration Project, a new chapter in Eden Rock’s mission to unlock responsible resource potential across the continent.

Led by Ivory Mining Resources SARL (IM), and supported by Eden Rock’s strategic partner Eleor Mining, the project builds on a brief yet meaningful period of past activity. For six active months, the site yielded gold ore through traditional washing systems and small-scale hammer mill production. That early work hinted at something more, at layers of gold still untouched within lateritic and colluvial formations.

In April 2025, a due diligence campaign was launched. Eleor Mining's first goal: to estimate the true volume and quality of the mineralized material using historical production blocks and geological markers still visible on site. With exploration focused on both secondary and primary gold, the project promises to deepen our understanding of the region’s gold-bearing potential.

What makes Bongouanou distinct isn’t just the metal it holds, but the approach it inspires. This is a compact, high-impact license, where resource assessment, artisanal legacy, and scientific exploration converge in a space manageable enough to advance quickly, yet promising enough to matter.
