Additional Information:
The project leverages Mali's rich mining history and is located in proximity to other prolific gold sites. Its geological setting in Birimian formations and artisanal mining presence indicate significant untapped potential. Future phases will include induced polarization surveys and targeted trenching to better delineate resource bodies.
In the mineral-rich terrain of Mali’s Kayes region, near the village of Daka Saidou, a new chapter in responsible gold exploration is unfolding. The Daka Saidou Gold Exploration Project stands as a strategic initiative led by DIAK GOLD SARL, aimed at uncovering value from one of West Africa’s most geologically promising zones.
Positioned east of the prolific Fékola Mine, the project is anchored in a region shaped by centuries of gold mining tradition and defined by the intersecting lineaments of the West African Craton. This unique structural framework, marked by NNW and NE-trending faults, has long controlled gold mineralization across some of Mali’s most successful deposits.
Early exploration efforts have confirmed the project’s potential. Geochemical anomalies, saprolite-hosted quartz veinlets, and visible artisanal mining traces provide clear evidence of a mineralized system. Detailed soil sampling and mapping have delineated three key targets for further investigation, with Phase 1 activities including trenching, IP surveys, and high-resolution mapping to follow.
Yet Daka Saidou is not solely a technical venture, it is a commitment to doing things right. A comprehensive Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) is currently underway, ensuring that development respects both the land and the communities who depend on it. From sustainable exploration practices to local job creation, every aspect of the project is designed with long-term value and shared prosperity in mind.
DIAK GOLD approaches Daka Saidou not only as a mineral exploration site, but as a model for what modern, responsible mining should look like: transparent, data-driven, and community-aligned. As exploration advances, the goal is clear: to transform geological insight into sustainable impact, building a foundation for growth that benefits both Mali’s people and its future.
